The team is part of the Smart Sensors division and develops the electronics and software for imaging sensors, active sensors and warning sensors, sensitive in the visual to infrared spectral range. The sensors are used in a wide range of reconnaissance and target acquisition systems in civil and military applications.
Design and implementation of image processing algorithms for imageenhancement in real-time video streams from infrared cameras and day visioncameras.
Improvement and extension of existing algorithms as well as the developmentof new parameterisation methods using traditional image processing algorithms
Validation and evaluation of the algorithms with regard to their performance
Execution of unit tests and component tests
Accompanying the software development up to the production application
Completed studies (M.Sc.) in electrical engineering, computer science,mathematics, physics or comparable qualification
Software development experience with modelling in UML and object-orientedprogramming in embedded systems
Experience in working with microcontrollers, FPGAs and embedded systems
Very good knowledge of programming with C++ (at least C++11)
Knowledge of Linux, Phyton and Matlab / Simulink is desirable
Systematic, networked thinking and independent approach
Team player with pronounced social competence and enthusiasm
Innovative spirit and creativity
Very good English skills (knowledge of German is a plus)
